My Personal Opinion/Review Of Cellucor Cor Performance Whey

I decided to buy and try the peanut butter marshmallow/cookies n’ cream flavour out myself since there are so many cellucor cor performance whey insideunique flavours and positive reviews unlike other whey protein brands. After trying both flavours for 2 weeks I must say I am quite disappointed with this product because firstly, it is hard to mix well since I always have clumps left at the bottom of my shaker and a substansial amount of foam is also produced. Secondly, every time I finish drinking the whey protein it leaves a weird after taste in my mouth. To sum up I wouldn’t recommend this whey protein to anyone, but if you are looking for a better choice you can check out the Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard review where it got a rating of 10/10.

  1. I have been into fitness for years and I have tried both whey and soy protein.

Whey is definitely the way to go. It’s funny how the price of powders can vary so much and I appreciate you finding the cheapest price on Amazon.

The are many things to consider when selecting a whey protein. What do you think the most important things are other than price?

I don’t train to get big any more since I am older fellow, but still the whey helps me to recover more quickly and keeps a close watch on my nutrition.

    See you at the gym.

    1. To me the most important thing other than price is the taste and mix-ability of the whey protein, that really makes or breaks the protein powder. P.S. No matter how old you are Barry you can still train to get more muscle mass because it is never to late to start. If you need help you can always hire an online coach like me 🙂

See you at the gym too.

  2. Hey Andrew! This was a great review. Considering that I like fitness:) My favorite type of protein is Whey protein Isolate and I have used it for a very long time and have also been happy with the results I have attained.

Whey protein isolate is also highly absorbed by the body, which magnifies ones results. Although I’ve never personally tried Cellucor, it seems that you don’t like it very much.

I have experienced clumps and bad aftertaste from my protein shake before and it didn’t taste to good. Optimum Nutrition’s protein is great! I’ve tried it and I would also rate it a 10/10 just like you.

    1. It’s nice to know that I’m not the only person that rates Optimum Nutrition’s Whey Protein 10/10. If you don’t like clumps and weird after taste in your protein shakes then I would suggest you avoid Cellucor’s Whey Protein at all costs haha.

  3. What a professional looking site and well written review it does seem like optimum nutrition’s whey protein powder is much better than this one. So thanks to you I now know which whey protein powder to buy.

I have a question for you. Basically, I have been avoiding red meat lately for a few reasons. Although I do worry about whether I get enough protein or not. My question is how much protein should I, a 24 year old woman of small build, get each day?

    1. Optimum nutrition’s whey protein powder is definitely much better than Cellucor’s protein powder. With your question the only way I would be able to correctly answer that is if you give me your current height, current weight, and activity level.

  4. I have tried many whey protein powders before and particularly like the strawberry flavours, but I find that they can be very sweet. Is using whey protein for someone who isn’t really lifting any weights or trying to build muscle ideal? Or is it more suited to those who want to gain weight and trains hard?
